Ashley Meek is a designer in the fashion industry, with experience in the areas of technology, product development, production, technical design, textiles and graphics. She began sewing in high school when she took a clothing construction class. She learned to digitize embroidery and started a business of custom embroidery and sublimation printed gifts. Later, she attended Kansas State University for her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Apparel and Textiles. Now with over 20 years of experience, she has developed products for  Lego, Pokemon, Disney, Hasbro, and Nintendo. Her work has been shown on panels at Comic-Con and BlizzCon. She has helped launch American start-ups through Maker’s Row and Factory 45. She also collaborates with independent artists to create unique apparel and accessory collections. Her brand, Volcano Designs, celebrates vintage and retro textiles and mid-century style and is based on slow fashion and sustainable practices. Pieces from her menswear line have been worn all over the world and in film and television. All production takes place in San Diego, where Ashley resides.
